The 2008 edition of Light+Building will host the debut of the Targetti Poulsen Group. The “marriage” between Targetti and Louis Poulsen, celebrated last September with the acquisition of Louis Poulsen Lighting by Targetti, makes of the new Group one of the three most important European players in the field of architectural lighting. The strength of Targetti Poulsen is based on its very innovative business model. It consists of a network of companies and brands highly specialized in different fields of architectural lighting which are able to act in synergy in order to offer their clients/partners a wide range of application-specific and high quality products and services.

 

Targetti, historically known for its revolutionary interior lighting systems, presents a new star: Sherazade, an extraordinary modular system that allows to design light with great flexibility, thanks to the possibility to develop always new wiggly configurations unrolling the elegant glossy tape through the space. New families of professional projectors for interiors will be part of the many interesting proposals by Targetti – between them the MAGMA family, ideal to design light in a very clear and precise way - together with new recessed suspensions to light exhibitions’ areas.

Victoria, the Targetti design collection, stays consistent with its technical and decorative soul presenting fixtures that are carachterized by an essential design and that can be used as lighting design kits, as Ikon and Fusion System, the first collection of recessed luminaires that can be completely hidden inside the ceiling.

Luce Viva, the Targetti dynamic lighting collection, specialized in digital control systems luminaires, is presenting new products for colour and colour temperature control - as Kaleidos Compact and Line System – and a surprising modular system able to create floors and walls made of light: Concept-Floor and Concept-Wall.

From Exterieur, the Targetti architectural lighting collection for exteriors, between the numerous news are Pico Pyros, Py-Quad, IPR and SPR: all professional projectors carachterized by extraordinary lighting performances and by a design that allows for a perfect integration in the architecture. 

 

Louis Poulsen is very well known for its collaboration with visionary designers who has made of it one of the most innovative producers of lighting solutions; many of its products have become already “works of art or classics”, not only due to their design, but also due to their unique, unusual, distinctive and exceptional light control. 

This year Louis Poulsen will presents three evocative products – created by widely differing designers.

Snow by Louise Campbell conjures up associations of winter light reflected in snow. Snow is a floor lamp, created in a new, unconventional idiom and made from twin-sheet formed acrylic with serigraphed white dots that emulate snow falling. Snow emanates an exquisite play of light.

F+P550 is the result of a new partnership between Foster & Partner and Louis Poulsen. F+P 550 is a pendant that utilises all advantages of LEDs while also accommodating the requirements of the Louis Poulsen lighting philosophy. Through its minimalist, elegant design, F+P 550 appeals to both professional and private segments.

As the third novelty for Light+Building, Louis Poulsen introduces its second fixture created in partnership with designer Ross Lovegrove. Aeros is the name of the new fixture, a pendant in a new, sculptural design whose superb light distribution creates a comfortable ambience in any room.

 

Range and innovation are the concepts of the Duralamp lounge, being these the strong points of Duralamp growth. A selection from the product’s wide range of the Targetti Poulsen light sources division will be exhibited together with all the news of the catalogue Luminous Sources 2008-2009. Extremely interesting also the latest piece of news just out of Duralamp R&D Department.

 

Specilized in the production of quality and extremely new lighting fixture for interiors, Esedra is recognised in the market to be able to handle complex materials’ treatments  and to fullfil the requirements of the always changing interior design trends in a very short time. Are by Esedra the excellent and amusing systems entirely covered with polycarbonate, this year presented in white, black, orange and fluorescent green; and Polifemone, an elegant suspension that has inside all the best lighting control technology developed by Targetti for the CCT downlights. A great care for decorative and aesthetics aspects, so loved by interior designers, together with a growing attention to those functional factors the new generation hotels are always more sensitive to: this is the main feature of 2008 MLE collection, one of the leading company in hotel lighting that definitively extends its proposal beyond the “classical” hotel bedrooms and bathrooms. MLE turns into original declinations of form and design lighting objects specially designed for corridors and other common areas, in order to conceal and improve elements like emergency exit and escape way signs that often are ugly to be seen.
