THE LANGUAGE OF LIGHT - Amman
Targetti at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in AmmanOn the 21 May Targetti took part in
“The Language of Light” seminar that was held at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in Amman.
Organized with the support of their Jordanian partner Art Light, the seminar addressed the issue of the ability to combine functional and aesthetic requirements in the museum sector. Targetti presented the audience the renewed
“Light of Florence” collection that was created in 1993 and which today is developed around the latest LED technology to give architects and lighting designers concrete, versatile and effective answers to their design needs to light museums and historical buildings.
For Targetti “making light” above all means creating and transmitting emotions because what we feel looking at a beautiful painting or admiring an ancient statue can change radically depending on the lighting system that is used.
The workshop focused on the principles of the science of vision and lighting psychology to show the latest systems for light control and colour rendering balance. Participants were able to experience firsthand the interaction between light and works of art. The paintings and works of art on display at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts became both the object and the subject of experimentation for an evening.
