Le Cerraie winery, the lighting of the new plant signed by Targetti
Located in Acquaviva di Montepulciano in the Sienese hills, the Le Cerraie winery is part of the Tenute del Cerro. The new plant, inaugurated in spring 2022, has a total area of 4000 square meters. The architectural project focused on minimizing the impact of the new building on the environment and surrounding landscape. The architectural language is simple and essential with a selection of materials and colors that recall the surrounding nature, creating a space capable of combining functional and aesthetic aspects while never losing sight of the “Genius Loci”.
The regular rhythm of the wooden brise soleil that characterizes the facade of the building takes up the pace of vine cultivation, as well as the design of the cladding of the other surfaces recalls that of the regular paths of the vineyards. Floodlights from the DART Medium range, installed on poles and equipped with asymmetrical optics, provide calibrated lighting on the walkways ensuring the visual task. The controlled emission of the projectors contributes to the "floating" effect desired by the architects: at night the industrial look of the complex seems to disappear to leave room for the architectural details that characterize the structure.
The wooden brise soleil is highlighted from the top by the grazing lighting effect of JEDI Compact linear projectors equipped with Grazing optics. LED strips from the Light Lines collection - Targetti powered by Duralamp - frame the structure in the lower part. The lighting of the entrance is completed by JEDI Compact Grazing projectors recessed into the ground in alignment with the vertical wall. Housed into corten blades, Light Lines strips LED scenically illuminate flower beds and walkways with lines of light that characterize the green and accompany the visitors, highlighting the entrance.
