Art Nouveau atmospheres and contemporary design characterize the wonderful Lido Palace Hotel in Riva del Garda, Italy, which came back to its ancient splendor after a long restoration work. The intervention also included the new lighting system, realized for the most part with Targetti fixtures.

The historical building dating back to 1899 was enlarged with contemporary architecture signs. The author of the project Alberto Cecchetto, indeed, added to the 18,000 cubic meters of the existing Art Nouveau building a new crystal hall on the north-facing side and a glass attic story offering a breathtaking view to the suites.

A scenographic frame covered with rust-coloured iron plunges like the futuristic prow of a ship into the park near the lakeshores, hosting all the hotel’s services: the bar, the two restaurants, the large Spa of 1500 square meters, one indoor swimming pool and one outdoor swimming pool.

The whole area in front of the entrance hall, made of pathways and green islands, has been lit through inground fixtures (FEBO and PHENIX) and a series of LED.Y compact projectors. FEBO lighting fixtures, in this case installed on wall at the level of the original roof covering, have been used also for the grazing lighting of the façade. On the back of the hotel, other FEBO fixtures light the horizonale planes of the garden when the swimming pool is situated; the arcade, on the contrary, is lit with a number of small recessed downlights QUICKLED for LED sources.
Targetti sign is evident also inside the hotel: in the restaurant created in the new building and entirely lit with ceiling recessed fixtures KRIPTON PLUS for halogen sources; in the large staircase leading from the Hall to the upper floors, where we can find some NEW YORK applique in chrome finishing. In the elevators area, a series of MINIARC recessed fixtures have been used; in the banqueting-hall, the wall fixtures HELLO designed by Daniel Bernard; within the Spa, on the contrary, we can find a large number of MONOLED and LED.Y RGB.
For lighting the corridors, the design team opted for MLE - another company of Targetti Poulsen Group - and, more in particular, for OMEGA in-ground modular system, specially developed to be concealed into the plaster false ceilings. The same system has been employed in the rooms, where also many custom fixtures MLE-branded arrange for the right atmosphere.
