Inaugurated in the FICO Eataly World food park in Bologna the new Venchi pavilion takes visitors on a 360° tour of the world of chocolate. The brainchild of Studio Ceri, the project combines tradition and innovation in line with the Turin company’s mission and is enhanced by the hi-tech contribution of “experiences” created by the innovation and design firm Carlo Ratti Associati (CRA). Targetti collaborated on the project by supplying lighting solutions for the entire pavilion: every environment has its own ad hoc atmosphere that accompany visitors on the tour route designed and developed by the firm.

A wall made of more than 30,000 chocolate pralines welcomes visitors at the entrance to the pavilion. This wall creates the effect of a pixel image spread over an eight-metre-long, three-metre-high surface. To light this impressive wall DART MEDIUM adjustable projectors were used fitted with optical systems with soft wide beams able to create a uniform, diffused effect.

In the space dedicated to the company’s history DART SMALL projectors installed on a specially made housing designed by the firm Ceri were used to light the products on display and the counter. The narrow, defined beams of the projectors with spot optics (SP) combine with the softer, wider beams of medium wide flood (MWFL) optics. This makes it possible to create uniform lighting over the entire area and at the same time emphasize the characteristic golden elements of the Venchi image.
