Targetti invited to the conference organised by the Rotary Club.In the framework of the biennial conferences organised by the Rotary Club: UNESCO historic Cities, heritage of peace, started in Urbino in 2013, followed by Istanbul in 2015 and this year hosted by the Rotary Club of Florence with the topic “Which lighting for UNESCO historic cities” , at the Cenacolo di Santa Croce on April 29th, Targetti has been honoured with an invitation to contribute to the event.

The conference in Florence is an opportunity to promote, with proofs and proposals, a reflection and comparison for a correct use of artificial light, according to the characteristics of the historical centres and monuments, also as a result of the gradual introduction of LED technology.
The use of light as an element of use of space and quality of perception in urban planning or landscaping can be analysed in its specific use and its various purposes.

Artificial light shall respects the place, integrate with it, giving value to its specific characteristics and to the influence of the variations between light and darkness on the actual places.

Four the aspects to be explored:

- Enhancement and celebration by means of light of the beauty of the place.
- The equilibrium of the illumination and its integration with natural light
- The promotion by the appropriate use of light of the lesser known monumental corners
- The application of new technologies (programming and lighting IT)
