Targetti have their sights set on Latin American markets at EILD 2016
From 21 to 24 September Ouro Preto in Brazil will host the 4th edition of EILD – the Ibero-American Meeting on Lighting Design, a non-profit event conceived by a group of independent professionals. This is an opportunity for Ibero-American lighting designers to get together to discuss and exchange ideas, a new way to transmit the culture of light by emphasizing communication and collaboration between all professionals involved in this sector.
This process began in 2010 in Valparaiso (Chile) and continued in Queretaro (Mexico) in 2012 and Medellin (Colombia) in 2014 with the support and participation of several major lighting manufacturers and international and national associations and institutions. One of these was Targetti who took part in the first edition confirming their commitment to internationalism and their interest in developing skills on a global scale. Participating at EILD will be a chance for the company to discuss with architects and lighting designers with whom they work alongside constantly, with the belief that every market should be addressed taking into account the specific dynamics to provide creative and original solutions that meet customer needs and increase links between lighting designers and manufacturers.
The themes of this year’s edition relate to new communication and interaction models to tackle the future of lighting design. The event focuses on rediscovering the creative process through an interactive experience guided by an app that all participants must download on arrival. Lighting designers and lighting manufacturers will be organised into teams to participate actively in a series of situations suggested by the app each time. Then all together the results of the various exercises will be evaluated and experts will give their input on the collaborative dynamics.
This approach breaks the paradigm of the previous meetings that were based on a typical presentation and business format and aims to reduce distances to reach more creative results together.
