Targetti lights the new office for the European Design Institute in Florence, an ambitious project that brings the experience of one of the most prestigious international schools of design to the heart of the city, just a few steps from the Cathedral. In keeping with the vocation of Targetti products to be integrated architectural design tools, the lighting contributes to the design of the space without superimposing its own language. To the contrary, the lighting project becomes an element that communicates the value and special features of this extraordinary fount of knowledge, creativity and learning.
Therefore, the lighting contributes to the creation of a very clean, formal atmosphere that virtually declares the nature of the place and its openness to continuously welcoming new ideas. An asymmetrical line of LEDs (as unusual as the IED teaching method) welcomes students and visitors at the entrance, accompanies them through the display areas and guides them to the classrooms where there are Slim Rectangle Dali lights, which are extremely versatile. With their transparency and lightness, they recall the dialogue between the interior and exterior and between the building and sky that characterizes the architecture of the entire building. Light becomes iconic only in those areas dedicated to relaxation, illuminating the large JUMBO suspensions that recall the great "portholes of light" that characterize the main corridor, illuminated by the continuous lines of the PROFILE system. LED is used for all lighting, combining design with technology.
