The Administrative Centre of Levata, in the province of Mantova, is shaped like a circle inside a triangle. A pure form that inspired the architect Salvatori Pillitteri to come up with a cutting-edge design: a glass covered prism. These simple geometries inspired the innovative philosophy of the interiors: water mirrors and cascades, panoramic lifts, Zen gardens. These are the features that the entrepreneur Sergio Novellini wanted for the building designated to accommodate some of his companies. The entire project used Targetti light fixtures.
Eastern philosophy goes hand in hand with innovative technological solutions, such as the control of the entire building managed by a demotic system that, for example, is capable of recognising users from biometric data and with high definition cameras. The air conditioning system is also sophisticated, which also includes heat recovery (the triangular building has three different exposures to the sun) and horizontal air jet diffusors on the ceiling for greater comfort.
The innovative lighting design was conceived to give each room a truly natural atmosphere. In the offices and meeting rooms this task was assigned to ARIA recessed fixtures with diffused light. The light is soft, the emission indirect and extremely even, capable of ensuring maximum visual comfort and creating an almost open-window effect. CCT FLASH recessed downlights were chosen for the corridors and common areas of the building, which once again focused on adding quality to the illuminated environment.
The outside façade is illuminated with NANO PYROS projectors: the compact design – and high precision optics – are perfect for a context like this, which requires minimal invasiveness without sacrificing the performance and quality of the light emission. ICARE in-ground recessed fixtures contribute to the night time image of the building, which illuminate the façade with side-lighting effects that “mark” the perimeter pathways. Finally, underwater NEPTUNE professional projectors were used to illuminate the water basins.
