International Hair Clinic
City: Moscow
Country: Russia
Architectural Design: A+I Studio
Designed by the Italian Moscow based design A+I studio, the International Hair Clinic which recently just opened in the heart of the capital, shows how light and interior design can transform not only an interior but also the mindset of the client, allowing to perceive the clinic as a wellness centre, a place to go in order not to be cured, but to feel better.
The clinic is a bright candid interior, in which the white surface of the walls, ceiling and glossy epoxy floor are transformed into a three dimensional ‘canvas’, a neutral background in which few essential objects stand out and different light scenarios define the atmosphere. In the open space of the lobby, the entrance area is defined by six ceiling mounted OSLO fittings by Louis Poulsen which ensure general diffused lighting. The reception desk in grape green Corian is lit by recessed dicroic downlights (ARC50 by Targetti) which adopt different power light sources in order to ensure visual comfort over the workstations and create accent over the built in flower composition. On the rear wall, a fascinating light artwork by Fabrizio Corneli entitled Dreaming Woman captures the guest’s eye and becomes the mood setting theme of the clinic.
