“A fluid open space, conceived as a 1:1 illustrated archive, is contained within an ideal graphic perimeter - a fence with a triangle-based design that filters and attracts the visitors’ eyes”. Architect Diego Grandi of DGO studio, Milan, describes in this way his project for LEA Ceramiche stand at the 2011 edition of Cersaie, International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings.
The installation called “De-Tiles” has been entirely lit by Targetti and Louis Poulsen, entrusted by Mr. Grandi and LEA Ceramiche to provide with both the technical fixtures and some real icons of Danish design like the historical AJ and Snowball lamps and the contemporary Snow lamp by Louise Campbell.
Targetti supplied all technical fixtures, including PUR projectors with Flood optic for the general lighting, MINIARC small recessed projectors for metal halide lamps for lighting the “windows”, and ARC Wall Washer recessed projectors for enhancing the widest vertical planes.
The project’s goal was to use light as a true design tool, able to emphasize the characteristics of the different matters and surfaces. All lighting products have been selected for their qualities to perfectly integrate in the special ceiling of the stand without creating any drama effect but rather enhancing both the different ceramic samples and the inclined walls used for displaying and defining the spaces.
